How do I prepare for treatment?
No particular preparation is needed other than a complimentary consultation.
However, ask your practitioner about starting Alastin Skincare’s Procedure Enhancement System 14-30 days before your treatment. Pre-treating with this system will clear non-functioning collagen and impurities and prepare your skin for optimal results. And continuing after treatment will minimize downtime and elevate results.
Post-treatment care or downtime?
Many can return immediately to regular activities. Ice may be used to calm any discomfort or sensitivity to the treated area.
If you are treated for deeper lines/wrinkles, or for eye bags, you may experience redness, bruising, or swelling up to 10 days, followed by up to a week of minimal visible side effects. Occasionally, with these deeper treatments, you may be sensitive and have some numbness for up to four weeks.
If you are concerned about the length of downtime, but want the same results, a regimen of lighter treatments can be substituted for one deeper treatment.
Lighter treatments will have far fewer side effects, most which may be concealed with tinted moisturizer or makeup just a few days after treatment.
